Description:
Passiflora is a climbing plant, popular in gardens in Europe. It originates
from South America and the East Indies and was traditionally used as a nerve
tonic in neuralgia.
How it works:
Passiflora is an anxiolytic (calms anxiety). Constituents within Passiflora
attach selectively to benzodiazepene receptors, calming the nerves. There
are no adverse side effects such as addiction or drowsiness, as is often the
case with benzodiazepenes themselves.
Additional advice:
No restrictions on use are known.
