Also known as:
Hemp Nettle

Uses:
• Stress incontinence
• Supportive treatment in asthma

Description:
Galeopsis is a member of the Labiatae family, a group of plants commonly found in Germany.

How it works:
Galeopsis contains a large amount of silica, saponins and tannins. The silica content increases lung resistance to allergies and pathogens (toxins harmful to the body) through a temporary increase in white blood cells.

Silica is also of great importance in the regeneration of tissue. High concentrations are normally found in the trachea, lung tissue and pelvic floor. Levels decrease with the presence of respiratory disease so the requirement becomes greater.

Saponins present have an expectorant action, which enhances the expulsion of phlegm from the lungs.

Galeopsis is also useful for stress incontinence and bedwetting through the astringent action of tannins in toning up tissue, and replenishing silica supplies.

Additional advice:
Galeopsis is not intended to replace prescription medication for asthma. It can be used alongside prescription medication but it is important to let your Doctor know.
